My name is Joaquin Godines, I'm an illustrator and multidisciplinary artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, but am currently pursuing a BFA in Illustration at Rhode Island School of Design. I enjoy working fluidly across painting, sculpture, wood, and apparel as it gives me room to explore different narrative and worlds.

My work explores queer identity, belonging, and the dynamics of vulnerability under the viewer's gaze. Drawing from fantasy, folklore, and surrealist storytelling. I enjoy crafting worlds where my personal experiences become fantastical, where the intimate and the imagined blur into one another. I want viewers to confront not only what they see, but let their mind explore their own crafted narratives within my work.
